Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
James 5:13-14
Pastor Don graduated with a dual degree in Economics and Religion from the College of William and Mary in 1984. After working as a salesman for McGraw-Hill Book Company for six years, he attended Denver Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 1994. He was ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Denomination in 1995.
From 1996 until 2009, Pastor Don and his wife Pam, were missionaries with One Challenge International based in Nairobi, Kenya. This was a wonderful ministry adventure with there family; son Austin (2 years old when they arrived), daughter Elianna (born in Nairobi in 1998) and daughter Michelle (born in Nairobi in 2001). Pastor Don spent much of his time in leading training conferences and mentoring groups with Kenyan Pastors, and Pam (as an occupational therapist) became an invaluable medical advocate for many in Nairobi. Pastor Don and Pam returned to Colorado in 2009 and joined Cornerstone Community Church in January of 2010 where they have enjoyed working as a team to lead the church into a multi-ethnic, multi-social and multi-generational direction.
We love being members in this church, and being a part in God's plan in developing a sanctuary where we can come together and offer music and worship and teaching to get to know and praise our Lord Jesus Christ.
After early 1960s participation in the Civil Rights Movement led by Dr. Martin Luther King, I earned a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh. I joined the Executive Training program at Ford Motor Company and later served in management roles for two national homebuilding companies.
In 1982, I answered my Lord’s call to train for His ministry at Denver Seminary. I was ordained by the Evangelical Presbyterian denomination in 1987. In 1993, I joined the Founding Pastor at Cornerstone Community Church and have continued to serve this congregation. I also continued for 25 years facilitating undergraduate college courses for adult students in Humanities and English Communication at the University of Phoenix Colorado and Online Campuses. In addition to my role at Cornerstone Church, I currently serve on the Governing Boards of Center for Transformational Discipleship, a training ministry for young inner-city ministry leaders, and for TransformAsia, an evangelistic, development, and medical ministry, primarily in Cambodia.

We like CCC because of the biblical teaching; scripture is read every Sunday and the sermon is based on what is written in the Bible. The fellowship among those who attend CCC is very special because everyone truly cares about the well-being of each person.

Please mention the Elder's name and we will send your request to them. Whatever you are facing today, you can request for prayer. The apostles placed tremendous importance on praying together, from the 120 believers praying together on the day of Pentecost (Acts 1:13, 2:1) to Paul and Silas’ prayers resulting in the conversion of their jailer .
